Our goal is to ensure that all youth in the Elk Valley can be exposed to the fun, excitement and life long benefits of sports, the arts and education. The Emily Brydon Youth Foundation was established in 2006 to provide financial assistance to youth in the Elk Valley, who do not otherwise have the financial means, in pursuing sports, the arts, education or other positive pursuits in order to pursue their individual interests and dreams.

Reflecting the spirit, personality and humble roots of its founder, world-class alpine skier Emily Brydon, the Foundation’s goal is to help Elk Valley children and their families realize the personal, developmental and health benefits of pursuing life skills beyond those offered in the public school environment.

The Foundation is now open to applications from youth of all ages who are residents of the Elk Valley between the towns of Elko and Elkford. The child must be registered or plan to be registered in a recognized and instructed program to pursue sport, the arts or educational objectives.

At the Emily Brydon youth Foundation, we believe that financial restrictions should not prevent anyone from being involved in activities which promote and build self-confidence, character and team spirit.

Our newly established Foundation is willing and eager to secure the necessary equipment and registration fees to ensure all Elk Valley Youth have the opportunity to pursue their interests and passions. Emily has personally experienced the benefits of pursing your passion to its highest levels. We hope that through the Foundation other Elk Valley residents can experience the thrill and challenges of their area of interest from the local to the international level.
